Karyendasoul PR content and EP cover Project
Karyendasoul reached out to me to assist in creating photos for PR content and a Cover for an EP he was working on. The 4 track EP is titled "IMIZAMO" which means Efforts in English. I researched color psychology to aid in selecting colors that would best represent the feel and direction of Karyendasoul's sound because much like music, color has the power to evoke emotions. The EP is about HEALING, LEARNING, GROWTH, and LOVE. For the PR photos, I used red, yellow, and blue color gels to light Karyendasoul. In color psychology, the color red is associated with strength, love, and energy. The color yellow is associated with creativity, warmth, and happiness. The color blue is associated with peace, loyalty, and competence.
For the EP cover, I styled Karyendasoul in a green beanie, and green jacket, and shot him against a brown backdrop. Green is associated with nature, healing, and quality. Brown is associated with being simple, dependable, and trustworthy.
